Rather than focusing on the action of war, I chose to document the quiet moments—the exhaustion, the contemplation, the brief respites that reveal the human beings behind the uniforms.
Through stark black and white imagery, I aim to strip away the politics and propaganda, revealing the universal human cost of conflict.
